The ceremonies and rituals of the tribe- The ceremonies and rituals that the Sentinelese follow are still not fully known to the outside world. Hence them being one of the most isolated tribes. However, it has been stated that after the death of an infant (young child), he or she is buried in a grave on the top of which a ‘Nautilus shell’. These shells show some of the most amazing spirals in nature. And a few tiny seashells are positioned around ‘embers’. These can often be found in the Sentinelese house/hut. It is believed that it is a stick, that represents or is similar to a ‘five-fingered-hand’ trapped in the ground almost vertically. Giving the effect that it is a hand reaching out from under the ground. Although it has got some importance to the tribe, nothing more is known about their traditional carried out rituals and ceremonies.
